Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Chartered Senior/Principal Geotechnical Engineer. You will work on a diverse range of projects of varying magnitude and complexity across most sectors, including residential, leisure, commercial, civil/infrastructure, highways, tunnels and airfields.

Responsibilities

▪ Geotechnical data assessment, analysis, risk assessment, modelling, and reporting

▪ Geotechnical desk studies and scoping, specification, management, and supervision of site investigations

▪ Site characterisation, including ground modelling and geotechnical interpretation

▪ Geotechnical design including substructure, and preparation of ground models

▪ Numerical modelling and analysis of slopes, walls, foundations, and other geotechnical structures

▪ Cliff face inspection rock fall hazard and risk analysis and modelling, and design of rock fall protective measures

Qualifications

▪ Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Geology, Geophysics, or relevant subject

▪ A minimum of 5 years relevant design experience

▪ Detailed knowledge of Eurocodes and British Standards

▪ Experience in seismic design

▪ Membership of an appropriate professional institution or body

▪ EU or UK citizenship (or the ability to work within Gibraltar)
