Europort Link Bridge

The project consistsof the design and construction of a pedestrian bridge which connects two blocksat the Europort Building. The bridge links two offices currently rented by the same tenant on the second floor, enabling the transit between the two spaces.

Technical challenges included finding asolution for a suitable bearing and matching the aesthetic requirements which were proposed in line with the rest of the building.

The structural solution includes Vierendeel Trusses either side with the structural members perfectly matching the curtainwall mullions.

The bridge was also designed to allow the potential differential horizontal movement between the two blocks, using acorbel detail with elastomeric bearings which are typically found in highways bridges.

NOSA delivered the project seamless and successfully, meeting all the technical and aesthetic requirements.
