The Structural  Engineering Clerk of Works is a full-time on-site role, providing continuous oversight of construction activities to ensure the project maintains high standards. This role involves conducting detailed inspections to verify that the quality of work and materials supplied by contractors align with the specified standards and design requirements. Any discrepancies or deviations from the agreed specifications will be identified, reported, and promptly addressed to ensure compliance.

In addition to inspections, the Engineering Clerk of Works advises the Project Manager on structural construction quality, provides technical support, and evaluates method statements to ensure that construction activities are carried out correctly. Testing activities are also monitored to confirm that all structural elements meet the required safety and performance criteria.

To ensure correct documentation, the Engineering Clerk of Works will maintain a detailed site diary, recording key site information and observations. This information will help identify potential issues. By actively monitoring construction activities, identifying risks, and providing continuous support, the  Structural Clerk of Works is a vital role in ensuring the integrity, safety,  and success of the project.
