Euston Lands Transfer Agreement

A part of the Lands Transfer Agreements 2007and 2015 between the Ministry of Defence and the Government of Gibraltar, over200+ properties, assets and real estate areas formally occupied by the MoD were handed to the Government, in exchange for the re-provision of these facilities in other, consolidated military accommodation aeras throughout the Rock. The project comprises of the reconfiguration and expansion of the following sites: Four corners; His Majesty’s Naval Base, Gunwharf, Devils Tower Camp, and RAF Gibraltar. In each location, the project provided a mix of military facilities including Single-living accommodation; Service families Accommodation; medical facilities; education facilities; physical training facilities; welfare and support functions; guardroom and detention centre; armoury facilities, and all associated infrastructure including drainage; MEP; security; CCTV; fire suppression and storage facilities.

Establishing a large team of local consultants, including architects, civil structural engineers, geotechnical engineers and project managers, the project was delivered over a programme consisting of several years. Once of our local Project Managers was also responsible for managing the whole portfolio of project packages, including design, approval, procurement, and delivery. The Four Corners package alone (image)delivered 83 new dwellings; a new community centre; children’s day nursery; swimming pool and complete infrastructure upgrade.
